NW Blogger Meet Up (It Finally Happened)!

As some of you know I recently decided to host a bloggers meet up.  Initially I just thought this would be a few of us meeting in town, getting some lunch and then hitting the shops.  Never in a million years did I think there would be 17 of us tucking into afternoon tea courtesy of Spout Coffee Shop

Spout is a quirky vintage coffee house that shares it's building with a hairdressers and beauty salon.  It really is a girls haven.  Not only did we get to tuck into tasty sandwiches and mini cakes but we were also treated to hair and beauty workshops thanks to The Passion Pit and The Pamper Pit.

Bloggers travelled from near and far and I really was overwhelmed that so many lovely bloggers wanted to be part of this meet up.  I was also a little concerned..............I'd never arranged an event before!!!  EEEEEK!

Joanna, Kel, Rachael and Terri.  Thanks for the pic Jo

The day went far too quickly.  There were lots of bloggers that I didn't get to speak to but I did manage to have a good chin wag with Amelia and Beth.  These two ladies are hilarious and made me giggle with their stories.  I was also very impressed with their crocheted collars which are available to buy on Etsy.  Put me down for one please girls.

So after 4 hours of nattering away the meet up came to an end *sob sob* but at least I have a gift bag full of treats to cheer myself up.

Firstly I have to say there are some incredibly generous people out there!  Everything in the gift bag was donated free of charge and some of them were made especially for us bloggers! WOW!

A big thanks goes out to Edwina Simone, Lydia Leith, Misco Chocolates, Kieron at Barratts, Coulson Macleod, Teapigs and Spout for their donations to the gift bags.  You've spoilt us!

And lastly a MASSIVE thank you to all the bloggers who attended and helped make the day so special.  Lets do it again ja????

I think we're gonna need a bigger staircase

Thanks for coming............

  3. Awww Jo was my Secret Santa partner and I've followed Sarah ever since she bought a bracelet from me when I first started blogging! Her son is just adorable.

Looks like a fantastic day, and I'm jealous I missed the hair workshop. That plaited 'do looks gorgeous!

Hi; I'm editing the first issue of a free magazine for creative industries in Stoke and North Staffordshire, under the auspices of the new £500,000 Factory creative industries support service. In my "Upfront" news section I want to include a little mention of the recent first Leek and area bloggers event, and I would like to use your photo of the participants so as to cue readers in to the specific type of bloggers attending - the staircase photo on this page. May I have your permission for using this? Many thanks. My prototype of the magazine can be seen online here... http://www.creativestoke.org.uk/cre8net_magazine_000.pdf Yours, David.
